In winter, peace and quiet settles on our farm – but that doesn’t mean things are quiet at Brandhof, where you’ll find more than just a ski holiday. It’s located directly at the Ramsau am Dachstein family ski area with a ski school and ski rental, and in the immediate vicinity of the Schladming 4-Mountain ski area and the Dachstein Glacier. To warm up, we recommend a stop at our rustic Brandalm Alpine hut before heading back to Brandhof by toboggan.

Brandhof is a great choice due to its location directly on the slopes and by the magic lift, which then takes you directly to the Kalilift and Rittisberg adventure mountain – so keep your skis on! There’s also a ski school with practice area and meeting point, as well as a ski rental and sports shop. Perfect for children: They can practice their first turns on the magic lift while you can watch directly from Brandhof. In Styria’s largest children’s ski world, the little ones are provided with a colourful winter playground on eight different adventure slopes. The children can glide into the excitement of skiing in a fun and playful way while Kali the Ramsaur is there to cheer them on.

Cross-country skiing at the Nordic Centre in Ramsau
Cross-country ski trails? They lead right past Brandhof! This means you have direct access to the perfectly groomed cross-country ski paths. The Nordic Centre’s network of trails in Ramsau offers the best conditions with a total of 220 kilometres, of which 130 kilometres are classic and 70 kilometres are skating. The cross-country ski area lies at an altitude of 1,100 to 2,700 metres and offers trails for every skill level, even for elite athletes.

Tip: Crossing Mt Dachstein
The Mt Dachstein crossing is one of the classic major ski crossings in the Alps. Austria’s national ski tour is the most spectacular way to experience the UNESCO World Natural and Cultural Heritage Site of Mt Dachstein, and it starts in Ramsau am Dachstein.

For night owls, the illuminated night toboggan run on Mt Rittisberg just opposite is highly recommended. A groomed winter hiking trail leads to our own Brandalm.
